Ever since I, Jessi, can remember, I have drunk coffee every day. At some point, however, I noticed more and more that coffee made me feel nauseous and lacking in concentration. In my search for a healthier alternative, many people advised me to try matcha. To be honest, I couldn't find any really good matcha here in Hamburg. Together with my good friend Nicole (with manager), we embarked on a mission to test every matcha in Hamburg to find a suitable spot for us. After a relatively unsuccessful search, we realized that the demand for high-quality matcha was far from being met and that its full potential was not being exploited.

It wasn't long before we had the necessary equipment for making Matcha at home. So we started testing different types of Matcha ourselves to create the perfect Matcha. Both Nicole and I became real Matcha fans. Through my numerous travels, I was able to get to know different Matcha varieties and concepts. Every time I returned, I told Nicole about them enthusiastically. We agreed that the potential of Matcha had to be exploited and that everyone should be aware of its many health benefits. So we came up with the idea of creating a place where everything revolves around Matcha. And to make our Matcha accessible to everyone, we knew right from the start that an online store was a must.

After several months of renovations and many ups and downs, the store finally opened. As many people are probably aware, not everything always goes according to plan. So for the time being, we only opened the store and were able to gain our first experience. We worked together with our wonderful Gotcha team, hosted our first event, had the opportunity to get to know many of you personally and were already able to convince many of you of our Matcha. We are more than happy to finally bring our Matcha beyond Hamburg to your homes. Thank you for being here and accompanying us on this journey. WELCOME TO THE GOTCHA FAMILY
